Boscombe Whale

A collaborative project between masters students to transform an empty kiosk in the Sovereign Shopping Center, Boscombe. During a brief research stage we discovered Boscomes rich Victorian heritage which became the theme for our installation, aiming to revitalize the memory and spirit of a dead Northern Bottlenose whale that was washed up next to the pier. Or efforts involved creating a cavity space inside the kiosk and projecting footage of the sea, taken from by the pier, onto the installation and playing the sound of the sea with the cries of whales echoing occasionally through the center.
